The CoRAC has launched a European initiative composed of associations in favour of a general hunting ban. The aim is to show the public that there is a rising demand not only on a national level, but on an international level. We seek to make our objectives a reality using peaceful means through the dissemination of information, the propagation of science, journalism and reporting. All associations remain fully independent from one another, and as time progresses, the initiative is bound to expand and include new institutions carrying out the same goals.
Austria:

The initiative Abschaffung der Jagd [Abolishment of Hunting] is a platform of individuals, organisations and groups, who no longer support the killing of wild animals in Austrian forests and fields by hunters. Its mission is to bind together all powers and interest groups in Austria and its objective to ban hunting in the country. It was deliberately created as an initiative and not as an association, and does not seek to compete with animal and nature conservation associations, as it intends to work in an integrative manner. The initiative presents itself as a network of associations and individuals, who wish to stand for wild animals persecuted by the hunters.

France :

The aim of the Collectif Rassemblement pour une France sans Chasse (CoRAC) {Collective Rally for a France without Hunting] is to abolish all forms of hunting and trapping in France, and replace them with a peaceful societal model of coexistence with wild animals. This can be achieved through adapted mechanisms enabling the successful accomplishment of human activities (agriculture, market gardening, silviculture, communication, security, health, etc.), alongside the preservation of the equally important interests of fauna. We specialise in communicating our ideas, arguments, strategy and proposals to the public, media and policy makers.

Germany:

The initiative Abschaffung der Jagd [Abolishment of Hunting] is a rally of individuals, groups and organisations, who no longer wish to support the everyday madness taking place in German forests. Based on ethical and ecological reasons, it rejects the perpetuation of hunting in Europe and carries out the objective of a general hunting ban through rational and effective public relations work, as well as political influence. It was deliberately created as an initiative and not as an association, and does not seek to compete with animal and nature conservation associations, as it intends to work in an integrative manner. The initiative presents itself as a network of associations and individuals, gathering the strengths of all those, who wish to stand for the wild animals living in the fields and forests.

Ireland:

The Irish Council Against Blood Sports, founded in 1966, is a voluntary organisation campaigning against hunting wild animals with dogs, and other cruel sports that exploit and abuse animals. Italy:

Founded in 1978, the Lega per l’Abolizione della Caccia [League for the Abolishment of Hunting] promotes the defense of fauna, as well as the conservation and restoration of the environment, through legal, political, cultural, educational, informational and editorial initiatives. It is recognised as an environmental association by the Ministry of the Environment, pursuant to the law of July 8th 1986, n. 349. Our statute draws from the notions of respect for the life, dignity and freedom of all human and non-human animals, and to that effect we fight against speciesism and all of its corresponding forms of violence, abuse and exploitation.

Netherlands:

Since 1976, the Dutch Wildlife Protection Foundation or Faunabescherming [Protection of Nature} has been promoting the interests of wild animals in the Netherlands. One of its main goals is to ban all forms of hunting. To achieve this, it conducts protests at hunting gatherings, tries to counterbalance the influence of hunters and their organisations with regards to wildlife management and nature protection, conducts legal proceedings against granted exemptions, and conducts field inspections to detect and report abuse related to hunting and the welfare of wildlife in general. The Faunabescherming hosts the Wild Boar Society (the Zwijnensociëteit), which focuses on the protection of wild boars in the country.
Poland:

Since 2016, the association Źródła [Sources] has been leading anti-hunting activities by monitoring issues related to hunting. It helps owners exclude properties from hunting districts, monitors hunters’ activities in the field, and advocates and provides advice to people feeling threatened by the hunters’ activities.

Spain:

The NAC Platform (No a la Caza [No to Hunting]) fights against hunting in all shape or form. Its immediate objective is to end hunting with greyhounds and other breeds, whereas its long-term objective is the abolition of hunting in all its aspects. To this end and in February of every year since 2010, they have organized a demonstration, which has managed to reach an international scale. The NAC Platform is a non-partisan, non-denominational, anti-speciesist nonprofit organization, whose fundamental objective is to raise awareness and promote respect for the individual interests of non-human animals, especially related to hunting, as well as assert and expand their rights.
Switzerland:

Wild beim Wild [Wild among the Wild] is an independent animal rights organisation based in Switzerland. Its main focus is the promotion and protection of wild animal species and their habitat from the activities of hobby hunters. As a center of excellence against hobby hunting, the IG is active and engaged in different regions of the German-speaking world, and committed to educating the public on the importance of animal and nature preservation, as well as the sustainable management of the environment. The IG is an organisation critical of hunting and has been challenging worldwide and for years the vocabulary used in the field.
